Rachel has spent her entire career in strategic business support roles, honing her skills and gaining wide ranging experience of all styles of leadership and business models. Her most recent employed role was as Executive Support Officer to the Board of Governors and Headmaster at Bredon School, a specialist school for children with Dyslexia.
In this role, Rachel was pivotal to the smooth running of the school, partnering with the Headmaster to not just create organised and efficient daily practices but create real, positive change in operations, culture and results. There were never two days the same – from parent contact and data management, to updating policies, assisting with HR matters and regular detailed event management.
Rachel thrived in this role because there was purpose; helping the children receive the educational experience they deserved. To this day, her ex-colleagues and senior team say they would have her back in a heartbeat!
She joined The Passionate PA as a franchisee in October 2022 to fulfil a life-long ambition of running her own business, but with all the support we offer our team. Rachel is delighted to now be working with mission-led leaders on a freelance basis, sharing her skills and experience with them to create momentum and results.
Prior to her role at Bredon School, Rachel held the position of Executive Personal Assistant to the Dean of Business Enterprise at the University of Gloucestershire. Here she honed her 121 executive support skills in email and diary management, minute taking, meeting organisation, travel planning and data management. As well as this, she worked in HR and Recruitment and excelled in communications with students and teaching staff too. Rachel is known for her friendly and warm persona, and this has helped her in every step of her career.
Back in 2015, Rachel was working with the National Trust providing Business Support across both countryside and estate locations. Her main role was PA to the General Manager but she also managed relationships with volunteers, fundraisers and supporters and managed a team of administrative volunteers as well.
Rachel has also run two small businesses before which have given her huge opportunity for personal growth and exposure to different sectors and people. Both were very rewarding experiences but now, she is committed to her long-term future as a Passionate PA.
In all chapters of her career, Rachel has built a reputation for diligent, commercially savvy working practices. The support she offers her clients is second to none and her commitment to their business growth and success is a powerful force indeed.
