Tanya is a friendly and resourceful person with exceptional experience as Head of Operations. She has a wealth of knowledge to share from over two decades in the charity sector and loves nothing more than partnering with entrepreneurs and HNW individuals to bring efficiency to their businesses and everyday lives.

Tanya now works with clients delivering operational improvements through Business Administration, Project Management and Process Reviews. She is also an exceptional Event Manager and offers Lifestyle Concierge too. Tanya joined The Passionate PA in May 2021 to create a fulfilling business for herself using the array of skills and experience she has built up over the years.

Tanya's Professional Highlights

Tanya has always been an incredibly hard-working and dedicated individual. Her first major career highlight came at just 25 when she was promoted as the youngest Store Manager of a Mothercare city centre site within the South of England. This incredible challenge, whilst juggling single-parenthood, allowed her to develop all sorts of skills in the retail sector. Managing budgets and people were an everyday occurrence, and during her time with the business she also became the day to day ‘client’ for a major trading refit which meant that the store remained open and profitable whilst a £1.2 million complete overhaul took place. The 8-week programme ran like a military operation.

In 1998, Tanya joined Cancer Research UK to take all her mainstream retail experience across to charity retailing and she was thrilled to make a tangible difference from the outset. As a Regional Retail Operations Manager with a remit of 126 retail shops, she also led six area managers and a wider team of retail administrative staff and 3000 retail shop volunteers. In this role, Tanya really honed her people management and HR experience, as well as ensuring operational efficiencies at all times.

In 2002, Tanya was promoted to Regional Community Fundraising Manager with Cancer Research UK and her focus shifted from retail to leading a wonderful team of area fundraisers to deliver annual income targets in excess of £3 million a year across the South West. To this day, Tanya feels very privileged to have worked with some incredible supporters, celebrities and high value donors. Her passion for people and engagement, as well as proving her abilities to manage just about anything, really came to the fore in this role.

Tanya’s highlights with Cancer Research UK are wide and varied; from developing new and very significant fundraising income streams to her pivotal role at a strategic level as part of the senior leadership team.

Her career has enabled Tanya to become an exceptional operations manager, event planning extraordinaire and project leader. There is not much that can phase her super resourceful nature and now, she loves nothing more than helping entrepreneurs and HNW individuals create the efficiency and momentum they need to achieve great things.

Tanya lives in the heart of Plymouth (or Plymbados as she lovingly calls it!) with her husband Roger and two gorgeous dogs. When she’s not making things happen for Passionate PA clients, she’ll be on the Hoe or at a music festival – red wine in hand!
